Wagevane

About Wagevane

Wagevane helps workers and employers answer two questions for any U.S. state: how much of a paycheck do you keep, and how much does an employee really cost? See which way pay is moving.

Every number on the site comes from an official source: the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the U.S. Department of Labor and each state's labor, revenue and unemployment agencies. Our calculators run in your browser and never store what you enter.

How we keep data current

Automated checks watch every official source we cite and flag changes in published rates. When a rate changes, we update the data, rebuild the affected pages and record the date. Scheduled changes, such as January minimum wage increases, switch over automatically on the effective date. Data was last verified on November 2, 2026.
